Europe is a continent that stretches from the North Sea and the Atlantic to the Urals in the east, and from the Mediterranean Sea in the south to the North Pole. It forms the western third of the continent Euro Asia. Since the 1700's, the border between Europe and Asia have generally been considered to go along the Ural, first mountain range and then the river; Caspian Manytsjforsenkningen north of the Caucasus, eventuellt Caucasus Mountains, the Black Sea, the Bosphorus, the Sea of ??Marmara and the Dardanelles.
Culturally, however, it is often customary to exclude Russia. The name comes from the Greek goddess Europa, who was originally to have been a Phoenician princess, but that Zeus carried away to Crete. Europe is a beautiful continent with regard to holiday. Here you can see the architecture of the Middle Ages and of the present. In the northern part you can see the fjords and mountains with magnificent waterfalls to middelahavet with its many islands. |
